Re: Carry Gun
S&W's 3rd gen Semi are ugry, and reliable gun.
I like small framed single stack S&W Semi(I have 3913 myself). Harder to shoot them bigger gun, but is easy to CCW.
But you may also want to consider M&P Compact as well(unless your not hang up on SA/DA thing)Audemus jura nostra defendere

Re: Carry Gun
To answer your question I like mostly is its going to be easy to conceal due to size, Also like smith & wesson they've been around a long time. Not to take anything away from other names but this gun felt good and I liked it if it shoots as good as it looks I'll be happy. Thanks again for the help

Re: Carry Gun
I'd recommend shooting it before you decide to buy it. Try and shoot it next to something like a Glock 19 or an M&P.

Re: Carry Gun
FWIW, I wouldn't buy it with your money.
These guns are notoriously unreliable and were produced at a bad time for Smith and Wesson.
Consider buying a tried-but-true handgun.

Re: Carry Gun
I dunno if I'd go that far....but with the magazine drop safety, the slide mounted safety/ decocker...the overly complicated design/ ton of parts....It just doesn't do it for me.
I'm never usually a fan of DA/SA either...and the triggers on these S&W guns have never been anything to get excited about.
But if you like having a slide mounted safety and mag drop safety, you like the size and price point...why not? Shoot the piss outta' it, and see how it runs for you. If it has some bugs, the S&W customer service will do you right. Just be sure to put it through its paces on the range, first.

Re: Carry Gun
Do you care to explain where/why you think 3rd gen S&W Semi's are "notoriously unreliable and were produced at a bad time for Smith and Wesson." as you puts it?
Every 3rd gen S&W Semi I've ever delt with were very reliable.
Only thing I never cared about 3rd gens are the fact they are ugry as sin...Audemus jura nostra defendere

Re: Carry Gun
I own and shoot a S&W 3913 TSW. I think it is a awesome conceal carry weapon. Easy to conceal. A great shooter and cheap to feed. I carry it mostly in the Summer and when my clothing won't permit me to carry a larger gun.
I favor my 1911's and my Glock 32 though.
