3 GOP senators threaten to filibuster gun control

Just saw it on fox, senators Rand Paul-KY, Ted Cruz-TX and Lee- UT are threatening to filibuster gun control bills.

WASHINGTON — A trio of Republicans are threatening to filibuster gun legislation when it comes to the Senate floor, arguing the proposals violate the Second Amendment.

Sens. Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee — all Tea Party favorites — say they will "oppose any legislation that would infringe on the American people's constitutional right to bear arms, or on their ability to exercise this right without being subjected to government surveillance."

Their intention is included in a letter sent to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

If we can get more people like Ted Cruz and Rand Paul elected we can turn this country around in 10 years. If any one like them runs in PA I will personally do what it takes to get them elected.

Imposing term limits would be a very good place to start to get that whole steaming shit pile sweetened up a bit.

lets also take into account the type of filibustering we're talking about. It's real easy to file some paper work that nobody see's opposing something but its completely different to stand up in front of a nation and talk for 13 hours about why some thing is unjust. This particular fight also has nothing to do with "legislation" IMO it has every thing to do with how far the federal gubment can trash your constitutional rights. If a democrat would get up in front of the country and do what Rand did I'd acknowledge that effort as well, but they would rather make back door deals and sneak stuff into other bills to facilitate their agenda.

we need to keep up the calls, emails, post cards, etc!!!! keep up the pressure, the antis are, we can not give up or stop this or we will be saying "man i wish i did more" NO NEW LAWS, NO UNIVERSAL CHECKS, NO BANS, NO NOTHING!!!
