    Default Good firearms retailers

What is everyone's opinion of the firearms dealers down here? I was to Gander Mtn and wasn't impressed with price or selection, and I haven't made it to the gun counter at Bass Pro (Always distracted by the shiny fishing lures).

I plan on heading to Grice Gun Shop in Clearfield County this weekend when I'm home, but I'm wondering what the good places down here are.

If you can find "Hit or Miss" gun shop in Halifax they have excellent prices. But he is a very small stocking dealer, so go to a Big Box gun shop to get a feel for the one you like then give them a try.

Trop's in E-Town has a pretty good selection, but the service is hit or miss.

    +1

Shyda's would probably be worth the drive from Harrisburg. Their selection of new guns and reloading supplies is huge. Their prices on almost everything are the lowest around in my experience. You can find some steals on used stuff sometimes too.

I have to agree that Backwoods Outfitters has a fantastic selection of handguns. The only reason I go into Gander Mtn. is to look at what they have and then shake my head at the kind of prices they are asking. Try Stubby's on Route 30. Prices are excellent!

    Big Bear,

Go past the Giant heading twords Millersburg, go past the Dollar Store type place then take a right on the next road after the Dollar store and he is back a few miles on the left down a dirt road. His odd are flexible to say the best but Mike is a great guy but he gets busy with race cars sometimes, give him a look see! He used to have a small sign out on the road.
