Default What to charge buddy at work for some ammo.

Have a guy at work I'm friends with. Keeps asking me for some ammo. The ammo is 500rds of Wolf .223 55gr fmj. I think the most I paid for the ammo was 180$ + shipping per 1000 a few years ago. I don't want to gouge him but I also don't want to cheat myself. So what would you charge?

$150 for 500 rounds... that's what it is currently runs. How good of friends are you? Shooting buddies, or just some guy that you are work friends with?

Charge him what it would cost you to replace it.

As said. Closer the friend the closer it gets to cost.

It depends on how good of Friends and how much hes bugging you about the ammo, then price accordingly.

About 2 months ago i got my hands on 29 pmags from Cabela's (i was gonna keep some and sell the rest to help pay for all of them) I told my best friend, and he said he wanted wanted to buy some off of me. He took 14 of them they came to $272.23, that's what i told him it cost me with shipping and taxes and that's all i wanted, he handed me the money i counted it and there was $320 there, he wanted me to take it all i gave him $40 back because i didnt want to make money off of my best friend.

Aimsurplus has Wolf .223 for about $150 per 500 plus like $17-20 shipping. If you guys are pretty good friends and you don't want to take him to the cleaners $160.

If it was a good friend and I wasn't going to leave myself without, then I would probably give them to him and tell him to give me 500 rounds when this calms down.

Not really good friends. Just work buddies. Never get together outside work mosly due to schedules. He's a good guy and would help you out in a heart beat. Do have plans to go shooting at his mountain house one of these days.
