I've been to the Wheeling, WV location and the Hamburg, Pa. locaion...and both were worth the trip! I sure hope Milcreek doesnt screw this up!

Camojack. Believe it or not from down here in Greenville the Cabelas in Dundee Michigan is closer than Hamburg. Went there every year when we use to go to the race.

Considering that the Millcreek one will be 2/3 the size, I doubt it will be as "interesting" as Wheeling or Dundee, and I've been to both of them too.

I've only gone to the Wheeling one when I was on my way to somewhere else, usually Columbus.

I'll make it to the Erie one eventually to compare as grew up there.

Why not? More choices and dried out elk burgers. Not sure how having a camera slows down shoppers. I only saw tourists very few shoppers when I go, sorry...

I have heard that from tons of people. But, I have never been there.

Been to a gander mountain once. And to a dicks sporting, maybe three times.

If/when this one opens in erie, I will make the trip.

    Take a video tour; http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/video...oductId=756044

It doesn't really give you the feel of the size of the place, and they aren't always that crowded.

It's going to be about 44,000 square feet. Probably the size of the fishing section alone in WV. I think the average Cabelas is around 175,000 - 200,000. Cabelas are starting to make smaller non-museum like stores for populations under 250,000 people. It's not going to be a true Cabelas with a walk through fish tank and 1000 stuffed animals.

It's a shame that Bass Pro and Cabelas don't see the potential for a store in the center of the state.

All we get is over priced Gander Mtn's and sparsely stocked Dunhams.
