Default question about applying for LTCF

Hi I live outside of philly but I go to school in williamsport PA. I just turned 21 and I want to apply for my LTCF and I was wondering since Im kinda living at williamsport while Im in school would I be able to get my permit in williamsport or would I have to apply for it at my home town? Thanks

You will need to apply to the county that matches your drivers license or in the city of philly you apply with the police.

The county in which you reside. I hear Bucks is very friendly. What is the address on your drivers license?

Thank you I that's what I figured unfortunately. Where I live they only do it until 3:30 pm I think it's like that everywhere else in pa. it makes it hard for me to get back home in Time.

I assume you are going to Penn Tech. If you live in an apartment off campus you should be able to change your drivers license to a Williamsport address then apply in lycoming county. I got mine renewed back in december and it takes all of 20 minutes at the court house if you go mid-week. With all the hassles involved in getting the LTCF in Philly I think this might be a good option.

I am a Penn Tech Alum. Just be careful according to their rules you are not allowed to carry or have any firearms on campus. If you live on campus they will provide locked storage if you have a firearm for hunting. I would recommend carrying around Williamsport though.
