Pics challenge question

Psp site says the will send a letter within 5 days of receiving my challenge form. Is there any info in that letter or is basically a receipt? Also, when you call the challenge dept number it's just a voicemail. If I leave a message once my challenge process starts, will they really get back to me? Anxious to get this cleared up.

5 days would just be an acknowledgement of receipt the appeal.
I would think they will take longer than that to decide on your appeal.

Yes I know that but wondering if there's any other info like the reason for denial.

Sometimes the acknowledgement letter will have the reversal or upheld denial letter with it if things are obvious why you were denied or if it was an error on their part - depending on case load.

I've seen guys get the acknowledgement letter within a week, then the reversal a week or so after that. Then I've seen a couple folks get the reversal within a couple days in the same envelope as the acknowledgement letter.

Got denied and sent the challenge letter in on the same day January 24th. Got my denial with info why on Febuary 11. Took two days to find the problem and get cleared up. Got my reversal letter March 11. The staff is overworked. I dealt with the very helpful and nice lady Sandy who has been working a lot of overtime. From the first time I talked to her in Febuary to 3 weeks later, she sounded very run down tired. Give them time they have been seeing 2-4 times their normal volume.
Good luck! I'm now in the waiting game with my LTCF from the sherrif. Just hit week one.
