Did anyone get a Utah cfp?

I'm finally getting the paperwork together to apply for my Utah permit.I took the class last summer, I looked through the necessary documents on the application and it doesn't mention anything about the cert you get from the class..

Does BCI expect the origonal or is copy good enough?

The instructor gave us a signed and stamped original to send. I'd guess the Utah Dept. of Public Safety website will have the details.

what the doc i'm asking about is called "Weapon Familiarity Certification". It says nothing about copy or original.

It's not that application, It's actually a diploma looking thing.. It's actually what the instructor gives you after the coarse

I have his paperwork here i'll just email him..

I'm not sure what this "diploma" is that you're talking about. All you should have is an application stamped with an instructor's seal. That's your proof of firearms familiarity training.

I just made a color copy of mine and they were fine with that.

ok, thanks 44.I just didn't want any delays. this cert is only good for a year and it's already been 8 months..I also think i'll copy this thing and send it along for good measure like flyinhjunkie did

All you need to send is your stamped application, finger print card, and passport photo.

I added copies of my PA LCTF and my AZ non-res permit, and an old NRA cert. Instructor thought adding these helped advance the investigation quicker.
