Arizona may bring charges against Eric Holder over ‘Fast and Furious
Arizona may bring charges against Eric Holder over ‘Fast and Furious’
On Friday, the speaker of Arizona's state House, Andy Tobin announced that a committee has been formed to investigate the Obama administration's gun-running program, known as ‘Fast and Furious,’ which put thousands of assault rifles into the hands of the drug cartels.
The committee will determine if the federal program violated any state laws. A report is expected to be completed by the end of March.
Speaker Tobin will announce the committee's jurisdiction at a Phoenix press conference later today.
In June 2011, it was discovered that two assault rifles sold under the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' (ATF) program were used in the 2010 abduction and murder of a Mexican lawyer.
The victim, Mario Gonzalez Rodriguez, a high-profile attorney, and brother of former attorney general of Chihuahua, Patricia Gonzalez Rodriguez, was kidnapped in October by gunmen working for the Sinaloa Cartel. Over the course of two weeks, he was repeatedly tortured before being killed by his captors.
The cartel posted several videos online which show Rodriguez bound and repeatedly being electrocuted by hooded men.
His body was unearthed in November, just outside the kidnappers’ compound.
Fox News reported that U.S. law enforcement officials have confirmed that two AK-47s purchased in Arizona by a straw buyer, under Fast and Furious and allowed to be taken across the border were recovered during the investigation of Rodriguez’ murder.
Also in June, ATF Special Agent John Dodson testified before Congress that the operation made possible the sale of roughly 2,500 firearms. Only 700 of those have been recovered at crime scenes throughout Mexico and the U.S.
Operation Fast and Furious has left in its wake…a tremendous human toll.
One family left tragically altered by the disastrous operation is the Terry family.
On December 14, 2010, Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was shot to death in the Arizona desert, while patrolling one of the region's most dangerous drug and human smuggling corridors. He was actually looking for Mexican bandits who typically prey on those crossing into this country illegally.
Agent Terry encountered a group of those bandits and was shot in the back with an AK-47. At least one round went through his protective vest and ripped through his pelvis. He soon succumbed to his wounds.

Were you thinking of Supremacy Clause or Federal Preemption? That's how Lon walked.
Gloria: "65 percent of the people murdered in the last 10 years were killed by hand guns"
Archie Bunker: "would it make you feel better, little girl, if they was pushed outta windows?"

What I want to see is Mexico bring charges against this A-Hole and demand he be extradited. I would like to see Obama handle that one. After all didn't he agree to help the Mexican authorities?
Maybe the UN would actually make themselves useful to us for once and help Mexico extradite this A-Hole.

If they do then Arizona needs to send someone to D.C. and arrest Holder in front of everybody especially Obama. I think that would get everybody's attention.
