Police seized the weapon, why? Maybe he should have been practicing with snap caps.

It seems a little odd that the confiscated the firearm. I'm betting the fact that the ND struck a neighbors property is why he was charged or at least that is what the DA is trying to use to build a case.
Usually the first two accessory purchases when I get a firearm in a new caliber are snap caps and a bore snake."No, it's just a machine. I'm the weapon." - Jack Harper in Oblivion

Re: Police: Man discharged weapon in home
I'd be interested in seeing what the actual charges were. I can't imagine that there is a law saying you can't discharge a firearm in your own home. Within X feet of another home, sure, and this seemingly qualifies as such, but the article said he was charged with discharging within his home.

I'm betting had he just shot into his floor and basement there would be no charges.
1. All guns are always loaded.
2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy. - FAIL
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target. - FAIL
4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it. - FAIL
Also to anyone who want's to practice loading a firearm a $10 set of snap caps is well worth it."No, it's just a machine. I'm the weapon." - Jack Harper in Oblivion
