Open Carry getting easier and easier
I had yet another positive OC experience last night. My wife and I decided we were going to go out to eat for dinner with the kids. It was a nice evening out so I had a T-shirt on with my Glock 36 in an OWB holster. Not one set of eyes drifted. The only thing is one guy looking down as he walked past. That was it. No one noticed. We went to Moe's over on Gateway Ave. by the Ford dealership. It is privately owned, and the owner was very receptive to the fact of me OCing. I gave him our flyer, and said sometime in the future maybe we could have a meet there. So to everyone in Franklin County, Moe's is a gun-friendly zone After dinner we made our way to Gander to check out a few guns and to see how much ammo has gone up. We left empty handed... there was a nice camo Mossberg Tactical 835 Ulti-Mag I had to play with I set it down and made note of it to purchase elsewhere for cheaper. No one in Gander really noticed or cared. I think a few guys looking at guns saw it, but didn't care.

Re: Open Carry getting easier and easier
Now you just have to get the wife OCing along with you. Glad to hear another OC success story.

The Gander in my area has signs posted on the doors as you walk in stating that all firearms must be unloaded/checked.....blah blah blah.
I never really paid much attention to it so I'm not sure if it addresses CC/OC in any way.Adapt, Adjust and Overcome.

Re: Open Carry getting easier and easier
Another gun friendly place:
I went to my eye doctor OC'ing. When I first arrived the better half checked us in and I just sat down no one ran from the building screaming, no calls to 911, and no request to cover.
I finally get to go back to the doctor and I guess the usual questions, (first time going in five years).
What brings you in? Is this a regular check up or do you have a problem?
I told him the truth, a little of both. I have not been to a eye doctor in approx five years and when I'm trying focus at a smaller dot from about 20 yards it all bleary.
He asked if I go shooting (I guess just a way to bring it up, or maybe he did not notice but it made me chuckle to myself)
We briefly chatted and I now have contacts and glasses.
I guess I'm getting too old.Last edited by Fraggle09027; April 11th, 2008 at 04:47 PM.
