New rifle! Beretta Cx4 Storm 9mm
I picked up the Cx4 two or three weeks ago, and added the shroud, forward grip, and bottom and side rails yesterday. It shoots amazingly well, best groups I've had with just about rifle except my old AR-15 which I sold. I think this little rifle might be a close contender against my AKs for favorite rifle status.

Nice crlovel. What sight do you have on it, how do you like it?

Charlie, it has a NCStar tactical scope on it. Nothing special, I picked it up for $60. It comes with a lifetime warranty. I was originally leaning towards a more expensive one, but decided I'd try this because of the price and guarantee. I'm glad I did, the thing shoots amazingly well and so far it holds the zero with no trouble.

crlovel, Your setup looks great.
I put SightMark red dot sight with a laser on mine, but the reticle seemed to double or split with my glasses on. It didn’t really, whithout the glasses it worked just fine and held zero perfectly through 100 rounds. I replaced it with a BSA red dot, it co-witnesses the iron sights and it works better for me. I may try moving the SightMark closer to the rear sight and see if the different angle works better for me.
Here’s mine.

Charlie, I wear glasses also, and have had no trouble with it "splitting?" It could be splitting because of how your eyes are focused, and how far away from your eyes you currently have it positioned. I tried my sight towards the front at first, also, where your's is positioned. I found it easier to sight in and maintain at the back when I finished with it, and I have no problem with peripheral vision when using it closer to my eyes.
I've been considering a laser for mine, too. I keep looking at the green ones. I have to use those side rails for something! I don't think a bipod will be in it's future, though. I considered it, but in the end...it's a short 9mm carbine, and I just don't see the use so much. Then again, it would be fun...Last edited by crlovel; April 11th, 2008 at 09:17 AM.

Re: New rifle! Beretta Cx4 Storm 9mm
I’m going to try mounting the SightMark at the rear next time I’m at the range. I only tried it on the indoor range, but next time will dial it in at 50 yards. I like its reticles better than the BSA. But, I like that the BSA co-witnesses the iron sights and sits on top of the front sight like a red lollypop with no apparent parallax. Also, the BSA is dialed in at 50 yards and is dead on at 20’ through 50 yards.
I noticed that when I bore sighted the SightMark at 100 yards, the laser is not quite aligned with the sights at closer distances and visa versa (other than the obvious mounting offset, low about 1” and right about 1 ½”).
I think I may remove the laser from the SightMark and get a mount for the side rail. I used the bipod off my .22 to give me a more stable rest to sight it in at 50 yards, I don’t intend to mount it permanently, but it does help at 50 yards!_____________________________________________
