XDs, has anyone had the plearsure to shoot or own?
I have had my eye on a pocket pistol, looked at the lcp and other .380s read reviews probably not for me. I looked at the LC9 and Sig P938....of course the Sig's price is a lil high for me. So I figured the LC9 was going to be my next gun. And now, a LEO friend of mine showed me his Springfield XDs, the price is at the top end of my range but very do able. I am just inquiring opinions on this fire arm? One concern the double safety feature, I personally like having safeties, but how does the double safety work at the
range. Also this being a relatively new gun has there been any issues. Thank in advance, I know I will receive good feedback.

Love my xds - incredible gun! Only complaint I've ever heard is about the grips, and how they are painful if you shoot a lot of rounds at the range. But I've never had an issue. The grip and trigger safeties are very nice for carry and no issues at the range. One of the best carry guns IMO. Search on here, lots of threads on it. Good luck!

Re: XDs, has anyone had the plearsure to shoot or own?
It's my carry gun and is an amazing firearm. 700+ rounds and counting with not one single issue. safeties are great, grips are great for tactical scenarios and the recoil is very manageable, especially for a 3.3'' barrel polymer .45. Cant go wrong. Plus with the market for the xds right now, buy it..if you dont like it, you could probably turn around and get what you paid for it atleast.

My brother has an XD and I have a lc9, we go shooting together so I get a chance to shoot them both. It all comes down to personal preference, but I like the lc9. One tip tho, if you go with the lc9, by a grip for it.. I got one online for around 10 bucks and it makes a big difference.

I shot my dads baby size springfield xd (9mm...presumably XDs?)
Wasn't a fan. I don't know that I'd genuinely enjoy any subcompact.

Re: XDs, has anyone had the plearsure to shoot or own?
I've owned several XD pistols. 9mm SC(regret selling it), couple of 45 service models, couple of 40' that I never shot, and the best one....a 45 GAP tactical which is one of the nicest most accurate out of the box guns I ever shot. Don't think I'll part with it. Too bad they don't make them any more and I rarely see them for sale.

I have a 3.8 xdm. At first I had grouping low to left problems because of stock trigger. Now with It broken in and me finally getting used to it I can shoot it very well. Gun itself never failed to fire feed etc. eats any ammo quality build. Magazines from the compact to the full size work flawlessly. Overall a very nice gun for the price point.
