Hope your Dad is making a list and collecting contact info. Anything in common about the victims, such as, age, perhaps?

And I hope your Dad tells them about this thread and invites them to come and post.

If your rifle cannot be accounted for, report it as stolen to the police, name the guy as the suspect.

Fight fire with fire. Saturday mid day has to be a busy period for him. Go in and make a stick right off the bat. No more Mr. nice guy. Go in both barrels fully loaded and just go off..........

Then take a deep breath and tell him you want back what he stole from you.

Film it if you can, it would make for some good vid here on the PAfoa.

This isn't a bad idea, because it certainly sounds like theft by deception.

The problem is, I think the police are going to tell him it's a civil matter because it involves a business dispute. I'd certainly call them to see, though. Even if they'd only be willing to stop in to 'talk' to him it might get the wheels moving.

I wonder if the guy who bought my rifle is reading this thread. And I wonder based on some of the comments, if I could claim it still is my rifle. So if someone bought an Enfield No 1 mark III from Steve Stoltzfus at Bullseye Shooters Supply you might want to check the serial number. The serial number of the rifle in question is 3880. It also had a short butt stock, that the Brits had for their short soldiers.

Why not report it to the ATF ? If the guy is stealing guns that customers leave on layaway, chances are he is not in 100% compliance with ATF regs, an ATF audit would be good payback I think.

i would report the firearm stolen to the local police department and ATF because your rifle has been stolen the same as if someone broke into your house and took it.
