Re: 1911 grips
I have 2 pair for my 1911, in addition to the originals, and both came through ebay.
What are you looking for? What is your idea of inexpensive? Have you tried 1911forum? There is a thread in their classifieds right now with "inexpensive" grips...

These guys have some interesting designs. Some are real wood, some are faux. I hear they are very good people.

Re: 1911 grips
While everyone is going for fancy man made material rough stuff and pretty fine painted grip with medalions, I find that simplest double diamond wood grip still is the best IMO.

Re: 1911 grips
I have had good results finding discounted Hogue grips at their auction outlet for seconds and end of run items.
There usually is a good selection of wood, poly, and exotic grips. Photos are included of the actual grip set being auctioned. The photos allow choosing wood color and grain patterns, instead, of merely opting for a wood species. There is an amazing amount of variation amongst the same wood types, which, might be the reason the set was rejected as a second.Last edited by Klyde; March 20th, 2013 at 06:50 AM.
