1 lonely box of .45 personal defense @ Edinboro Walmart this afternoon, did not buy don't have a 45. That was it for handgun ammo, had some 270 and other rifle ammo, did not pay too much attention, only shoot 22-250 and had none of it.

It is like the pictures of Russian markets I remember seeing when I was kid. It is like this in every sporting goods section at the 3 Erie Wal-marts and even at the well known gun shops it is the same.

Re: Ammo Report- Erie Area- Post any finds here
Been awhile since I posted an update.
Edinboro Outdoors has lots of .40S&W- Magtech and blazer brass, $23.99 a box for 50 and save a buck if you buy two boxes.
I also saw some rifle rounds there, im not too sure on the caliber, 7.62 and 5.56 i believe they were going for around 13 bucks for a box of 20.
I haven't hit up the Erie Walmarts in awhile, but I can say they are not hording for friends. Like ive mentioned eariler, you just have to get them when they come off the truck and get lucky.. Walmarts get like 4 trucks a week, and usually 1-2 shipments of ammo per truck, of those.. theres a small chance theres handgun ammo.
Ive scored .380 value packs, as well as 9mm and 40 winchester white box value packs.
I was in East Tennessee last week (Bristol) and got really lucky. Went to buy a printer for a jobsite and they had one Remington UMC .40 MEGA PACK ( 250 rounds) for $90.00. Also had 100 round value packs for 24.99 (9mm) and $34.99 (.40).
Be creative when a 3 box limit can be anywhere between 60 and 750 rounds.
As far as the Erie Area goes:
.40 is much more common now
9mm is still rare
.380 is VERY RARE
.45 is VERY RARE
.22 is non existent
