OC'd to the dentist today.......

Mt Pocono Dental Care on Rt940.

Pretty nice experience. I'm never one to be creeped out by the dentist.....but he/se (dentist & assistant lady) both struck up a conversation about the firearm. The neat thing is that the hygienist totally remembered me and the wife from our last visit and noted that I wasn't wearing a gun that time or any other time.


But in between the x-rays etc...She was talking to me. She asked if I was a cop and what followed was a very good conversation about firearms and Pennsylvania gun rights. She was totally unaware that Pennsylvania citizens could arm themselves the way I was.


Overall....She thought it was pretty 'neat' and 'cool' (her words).

THEN...the dentist comes in - went through the same thing with him. And HE was unaware. And, like the hygienist, he also thought that was neat.
Both he and she admitted that they've NEVER seen someone OC, let alone lay down in their dentist chair!

Overall - a VERY positive OC experience. I'm just sorry I didn't have copies of Pa Patriot's hand-outs on me!

Afterwards (the wifey had an appt too) we stopped at the Mt Pocono Burger King.....not the friendliest looking crowd...but my OC, though it didn't go unnoticed, didn't seem to bother anyone.

Hey Gary,

I always enjoy hearing about your OC experiences. You do a lot to educate the Public in an area they are either ignorant to, or have unwarranted fear of.

Aye, it does tend to make the docs stop and think. I OC'd to my podiatrist when I went to have my insoles fitted. He wanted me to step on the machine to get a pressure read of my feet and I asked if the gun would throw the meter off. He asked if I always wear it. I told him that I wear this one or one similar most all the time. He shrugged and took the measurements.
