Please Don't Come to Colorado
As many of you have probably heard, 3 major anti-gun bills have passed the Colorado House and Senate and will soon make their way to Gov. John Hickenlooper (a PA native) for his signature. He has expressed in multiple interviews that he plans to sign all of these bills. These bills are:
HB 1224 (ban on magazines greater than 15 rounds)
HB 1229 (requires background checks on ALL firearm sales/transfers and even requires a background check be performed if you are loaning a firearm to someone for a period greater than 72 hours)
HB 1228 (allows the state to charge a fee/tax when performing a background check on an idividual)
I know many of you have expressed that you visit CO for various reason including hunting/fishing trips, vacation, etc. I ask you to please cancel any future plans to visit CO, and let Gov. Hickenlooper know why the state of CO will no longer be getting any of your money.
John W Hickenlooper, Governor
136 State Capitol
Denver, CO 80203-1792

My mom and sister are still in CO. Do you know when the bills are scheduled to go into effect?

Re: Please Don't Come to Colorado
This is all I hear from my circle of friends lately after putting my house on the market. As soon as it sells I will be heading to the Denver area.. I think of myself moving out there as reinforcements

Re: Please Don't Come to Colorado
It's a shame.. I've visited Colorado twice and I love the state. It was on the list of states I would have moved to in the future.. but not any longer with this nonsense. I work from home full time, and can do so from anywhere in the world.. Colorado won't be one of them in the future.
Montana anyone?

Re: Please Don't Come to Colorado
I've lived in both Colorado and Nebraska, and I have family still living in both, and consequently have driven back and forth through Wyoming for visits. Wyoming is quite similar to Colorado, as far as the landscape goes, but the cost of living is considerably lower. Plus there they tell libs to move out if they don't like their gun laws!
