Default Which AR for high power?

From there web sights the Armalite NM is about 300.00 more than the Rock River NM. Is it worth it? Any AR gunsmith opinions or high power shooters that use a black gun.

White Oak Precision upper on a RRA or Stag lower with geiselle trigger for an all out gun.

^^^Agreed! BTW, if your going to shoot NRA High Power for score research the rules for rifle configurations for Service Rifle or NM classifications. CMP competitions are almost the same except they give a little more leeway on the configurations for Service Rifle.

To answer the original post the RRA is considered the better value. The performance between the two would probably be about equal, but the RRA has the better trigger. Lycanthrope's advice on White Oak should be something you consider. With the price of RRA rifles now the White Oak Armament isn't that much more expensive and you would end up with a better rifle and better service should you need it. If you decide on the RRA you may have a long wait as well. The rules for service rifles in NRA and CMP are pretty much identical. Some clubs use the term CMP to describe their unsanctioned military rifle matches and may have their own rules.

The RRA is your best bet for an out of the box NMC ready service rifle. However for a few bucks more you can get a full blow White Oak Precision upper with pinned sights and premium barrel(Kreiger, Pac Nor, etc..) CLE in Florida is also top quality with regard to NMC rifles. I use both CLE and WOP uppers and both have brought me to victory at the State and National Level.
