SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - March 8, 2013 (WPVI) -- Police say a suspected robber was shot and critically wounded by a mystery gunman in Southwest Philadelphia early Friday morning.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on the 2600 block of South Dewey Street.

Police say, two women in a car were stopped at the location when a robbery suspect armed with a gun opened the passenger side door and attempted to rob the women.
An unidentified man then came from behind the suspect and opened fire, striking him several times along with several parked cars, according to police.
The shooter then fled the scene, leaving the robbery suspect critically wounded.

I hope they never catch him. Think about it this way if it was a good samaritan and he would have stuck around to explain himself surely he would have been arrested and charged and bankrupted.

Hahahaha...was thinking the same. Can't help but think there's something more to this...like a foot chase shootout and the robber ran out of ammo and trying to commandeer the car for escape.
