LOTS in my case. The main reason is for when I go shooting outdoors in the wintertime. It can be 30 degrees (not bad) but have a wind chill or be one of those damp type days.

Much easier to have preloaded mags on hand then to keep reloading them. Hard to shoot when the fingers get numb and almost bleeding. I can shoot a lot more before the cold/chill gets to me. I also tend to dress light. Usually just a sweat shirt.

I have 8 for my CZ P-01 (actually found 1 I didn't know about) while rummaging through boxes looking for something else last night.

I I probably have close to 20 1911 mags (but I have 2.5 1911s). .5 because I'm in the process of building one.

I usually have 2-3 for some of my other pistols that I don't use as often.

Home many mags?
I like to have at least 5+ mags for each pistol but for my G19 & G26 I have tons of 15 rd & 17rd because I use them in both...

How many mags do I carry?
Being in Philly, that depends... Most days I carry my G19 with 1-15rd or my G26 with 1-12rnd mag and I always have 2 extra 17rd mags. Back in 2020 when the looting was going on and tensions were high I was carrying an additional 4-5 33rd mags in a Tac Sling Bag.
