Re: Falls Township pistol and rifle club
Tialloydragon,
Where did you get your information? The qualification distance is at 50 feet and it is a bullseye.
Can you provide proof to your statement there is no waiting list?

Re: Falls Township pistol and rifle club
I became a member 6 years ago, the qualifying target was silhouette sized, and it was run all the way to the end of the indoor range (which is 25 yards.) Perhaps they changed it between now and then. I don't know because I never sit in on the qualifications ever since I completed mine.
As far as the wait list, last time I heard anything about it (few weeks ago,) the Trap chairman stated there was no waiting list. It was just a matter of getting the application in and be scheduled to come in and qualify. Perhaps heard wrong.
I go to the club two to four times a week, so I can ask a board member next time I see one.
SPORTING CLAYS this Sunday from 8:30a to 3p.

As far as I know qualifications have always been shot at 50 feet at a bullseye target. As for the wait list you were misinformed; there is in fact a wait list.

Re: Falls Township pistol and rifle club
I joined the Club when it was on Oxford Valley Road. We qualified outdoors with the B-16 pistol target at 25 yards. When the club opened on Newbold Road, I was a member of the Qualifications Committee. Then Chairman of the Committee for the next 10 years or so. We always shot the B-16 Slow Fire pistol target at 50 feet. You had to demonstrate putting 10 shots into the scoring rings, slow fire and any way you chose to shoot off hand. (single or 2 hand grip) You also had to do it with a .22 rifle on the same target at the same distance. They no longer require you to fire the rifle. We never used any type of Silhouette target.
