Cabelas is showing Medical Excise tax on their receipts

The receipt I saw showed a line item for Medical Excise tax, just over 2% of the total sale. I like to know what I'm paying for and Cabelas shows it.

I just looked at my receipt from the picture I bought on Saturday. It is not listing an excise tax, only a general sales and use tax which came to exactly 6% of the bill. I wonder if it is only for specific items that you buy.

How about instead of taxing medical devices (which just makes health care more expensive for everyone) we just have politicians pay for all of their own health care plans out of their own pocket.

I never heard about this but it is just another example of why I don't repost stuff I see on the internet. There is far too much disinformation floating around out there.
