Md. Senate Passes Gun Control Measure 28-19

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ)—Maryland is a step closer to enacting some of the strictest gun control legislation in the country.

The Maryland Senate passed an amended bill that keeps the governor’s original plan for gun control intact.

Since their rally Feb. 6, gun advocates have continued to protest what they believe is a violation of their Second Amendment right to bear arms.

And those arguments were echoed in the Senate chamber Thursday.

“We are taking that right away from law-abiding citizens,” argued Senator Nancy Jacobs, (R) Harford County.

In marathon sessions, the senate amended and passed the Firearms Safety Act of 2013 28-19.

“You know if you have a gun you’re not going to be happy with the bill,” said Senate President Mike Miller after the vote.

“The rural areas, they don’t care for this bill at all. In the urban areas think it’s very important for public safety and protection against personal violence,” Miller said.

Translation - The inner cities are a shit hole with degenerates killing each other and everyone else... so lets "fix" the problem by eliminating the firearms from the law abiding people.

Every state will turn blue and have stupid laws passed. It is only a matter of how long it will take. Md is a small state, with baltimore and the Md side of DC making up most of the population. PA would be the same way if it were just Philly and Harrisburg, with little country in between. The only thing that gives PA a chance is that it is big, with a lot more rural areas.

Another communist state following the lead of New York. I have to say its funny that while maryland wants to expand rights for people who should not even be in the country like in state tuition for illegals they want to take rights away from law biding ciitizens. I also find it very strange that two states with some of the strictest gun laws are also states that recently allowed gay marriage.

To each his own on the marriage one, but its funny that states who talk about giving freedom to people who traditionally have not had it in the case of gay marriage seek to take away freedoms like the second amendment that he had since the 1790s

Sadly most people don't see this and also there are many who worry too much about "public image" in order to even think of things like the double standard liberal hypocricy.
