castle doctrine outside (sorta)
I've seen some talk of the castle doctrine "inside the home" extending to a deck or porch but I can't find the statute, if it exists. Anyone have an answer and a link? I've been searching for an hour.
Thanks

Re: castle doctrine outside (sorta)
"Castle Doctrine" applies to within the home and certain curtilage, and place of business. PA now extends it to your occupied vehicle. Any other place is "Stand Your Ground".
What you are looking for is Title 18 Pa.C.S.A, Chapter 5, Subsection 505.

Re: castle doctrine outside (sorta)
I read they were trying to add a disparity of force upgrade. I assume this is still being worked on?

Here is a link to a story involving a PA man killing an intruder on his deck steps. Luckily the reporter isn't a prosecutor or lawmaker. In fact I can't find anywhere on the page who wrote the piece. Damn coward!
