Anti-Rust Gun Storage Bags?

Anyone use rust preventive gun storage bags?

I've seen the airtight plastic type with VCI rust inhibitor (Polygunbag) and the breathable fleece type (Bore Stores). Which is better? The plastic ones are cheaper.

I'd rather not cross my fingers and hope Eezox alone will do the trick this summer.

Hmpf, just pack the guns with cosomoline and you should be good for 70 years or so...

I've stored magazines and stripper clips in the no rust poly bags for the five year shelf life and never had any rust or corrosion problems.

I used to buy them from a guy in Irwin, PA. He used to sell them at the PGCS gun show.

His website was www.norustbags.com but that url is dead.

I found this outfit https://www.rustfreebags.com/Page_1.php and I think it's the same guy because the bags are yellow and if you pay by check the check is to be made out to "no rust bags".

His products are cheaper than Bianchi's "blue bags".

I like to use mil-surplus "Multi-Purpose M-16 Rifle Bag". I got them through one of the gear outfitters catalog mail order, like brigade quartermasters. While not treated they are waterproof. Sorry, no NSN number on them. They're 60" x 12" inches in size. A properly lubed rifle when inside these bags keeps well. Also printed with instructions on how to use as a under coat life preserver, and multi-quart water bag.

I use VCI paper. I put it in with my guns wherever they are, in a box, in a case, in a cabinet, in a safe. I haven't had any problems at all since I started using it. I'd think that you shouldn't have any problems if you get the plastic bags with VCI paper.
I posted a question here a long time ago about using VCI paper and didn't get any response, perhaps those who saw my question didn't know what VCI is.
Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor.
It's been used for years to store steel parts like bearings, shafts, etc. If it's good enough for steel parts manufacturers, it's good enough for me. (Especially for as cheap as I get it).
