Coatesville Range
Anyone hearing anything about a range under development in Coatesville somewhere off of the ByPass and 82? LE or something? I heard some scuttlebutt and wanted to know if we have a new spot to shoot.

Re: Coatesville Range
A friend was speaking with a member for the Emergency Management group for Chester county. She said that there was a range facility going in and that she had been on a site visit there. Only reason I can think she might have been asked to come along would be that perhaps this is for LE NAND potentially military. I don't know first hand, just was wondering if anyone knows anything g similar.

Re: Coatesville Range
Never heard of it. Would be nice if it's going to be open to public...

Re: Coatesville Range
I think she may be talking about this:
About 5 years ago there was a restaurant/gun club in that area. They tried to sell memberships similar to a country club. The most basic entry fee was crazy expensive so I didn't bite. We toured the facility (which included indoor pistol and trap ranges) and ate at the restaurant a few times (Noah's Family Restaurant). The food was good but overpriced IMO.
I heard the range was financially underwater from the start and didn't get enough serious interest to make it viable.
The restaurant, by the way, lasted about 3 years before closing.

I'll bet the range facilities are still there waiting to be used.....Last edited by arks; March 2nd, 2013 at 12:31 AM.

Oh, interesting... This address for the restaurant is 255 Mount Airy Road, and..."Philadelphia Rock Gym" lists this location/address as one of their locations (PRG Valley). Http://www.philarockgym.com/directions.php

Right in the wonderful little ghetto of Rock Run.
Can't imagine the clientele of any range in that area would be any fun to be around. It could prove surprising, though, like PRG.

Re: Coatesville Range
Some 10 plus years ago, there was a Rock Run Sport Complex or Shooting Range. I was barely 18 and had a whole different concept and thought process about guns. I took my .22 there once. Now I don't go into Rock Run 1. without at least 2 guns and 2. If I absolutely can't go around it and P.S. there are tons of ways around it... lol

Re: Coatesville Range
Something local and with private membership would be nice, but it sounds like this place will only be for Law Enforcement and military.
