1909 L.C. SMITH 12 GAUGE Chance to buy
I apologize in advance for not having pictures. I am looking at buying a 1909(?) LC smith 12 gauge double barrel shotgun. I looked up the serial number and a website i found dates it as a 1909 the s/n is a 325xxx with a large number 1 after it.
The barrel has "Hunter Arms Co." engraved on it. I am having a hard time placing a value on it. Do we have a resident expert here? I see most of these guns are pretty valuable- $1500 range to $11000. But i have seen a few only worth $400 or so.
As far as i can tell the gun is all original except maybe the end plate on the butt stock which says Winchester repeating arms Co. I would rate it as good condition. No major damage and LIGHT surface rust.
Any thoughts or info would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. all serial numbers are matching not pieced together from multiple guns! When unholstering your sidearm it is customary to say: "Excuse me while i whip this out"
