This is a MINT, beautiful looking original Springfield Armory M1 Garand Post War rifle in the desirable 5.8 million serial number range. All matching as manufactured. 99% overall finish that is mint. Barrel M/E is a one and T/E is 1+ and still shows the cutting marks in the muzzle and bore. Bore is mirror bright and looks new. Receiver has drawing number F 6528291 with a heat lot of T 2 A, Bolt Drawing number 6528287-SA with heat lot #A15, Trigger housing drawing number 6528290-SA, Has DRC rear sight. Op Rod is 6535382 SA. Rifle was mostly still in the grease when I bought it. I degreased it now (got too messy in safe). The stock is MINT, beautiful grain and two tone, never having been messed with or sanded, with a Deep and very nice original 1/2 DAS(Eagle and Stars) cartouche, very deep circle P with serifs and matches beautifully with the handguards. Stock also locks up very tight and shows very few of the usual dings or handling marks. Barrel Drawing Number is SA F6535448 3 55 A2200. This is a beautiful, looks next to unissued rifle that would be very difficult to upgrade. I would compare this with any CMP collector grade I have seen. Will come in original CMP shipping box. $1700 plus $35 insured shipping.
