Post OFA Email Asks for Anecdotes of Gun Violence

People are more concerned with "feelings" than facts! And where do feelings come from? Stories!

    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/02/20/Obama-Email-Asks-For-Stories-About-Gun-Violence

"The former campaign apparatus of Barack Obama, Organizing for Action, sent out an email requesting recipients send back stories of gun violence which they have experienced.

Sami Rahamim, the author of the email, encourages readers to share their stories to prove to Congress that America needs “sensible solutions” for expanded gun control legislation."

President Obama recalled anecdotes of children killed in the infamous Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting when he announced his legislative push for stricter gun control laws in January. He recited several letters from children urging him to restrict the use of firearms.

The new regulations Obama has proposed primarily target "assault weapons," a loosely-defined style of rifle which statistically are not responsible for a large percentage of murders in the U.S., as even Vice President Joe Biden has admitted.

It appears Organizing for Action seeks more anecdotal accounts of gun violence—any type of gun, including those not targeted by the White House—to make its case for gun control rather than surveys or academic studies."

Then let's start collecting stories of law-abiding citizens who would be dead today if it weren't for the firearms that the libs are trying to ban. The key would be to get them to someone who would be in a position to get them to key people in Washington so they can use them to counteract the libs stories.

There's a half dozen or so per month published in the American Rifleman. How far back do you want to go?

Thumbs down Re: OFA Email Asks for Anecdotes of Gun Violence

There IS no "gun violence"...at least as a shooter and gun owner for 60 years, I can say that I have NEVER seen any gun run out and cause any..violence.
As a doc, I have seen lots of violence..caused by men and women shooting, stabbing, beating and choking each other to death, killing each other with cars and even other docs killing around a MILLION US babies every YEAR with abortions! THAT my buds is violence.

The left is going to have warm bodies to parade around, like the State of the Union, like the executive order signing, etc. We need people out in public too, like Suzanna Hupp, like the fellow from Columbine whose letter to Obama was posted on the forum here, etc., who have faced these situations and have the 'victim's' authority to speak on these matters. Even better than these two, we need people who had guns on them and they saved their lives. Stories in a magazine won't be enough. We need to play the left's game of media drama.
