There have been a couple of threads lately about the introduction of "No Hesitation" targets representing normal people - kids, old folks and preg ladies.

There have also been reports of actual training exercises with troops firing on Zombie masses in urban settings. These news reports tend to be humorous or critical of gov't overspending but I see something a little more sinister here.

I wonder if something else is going. Do these two training trends lead anyone else to the conclusion that we are training our soldiers and LEOs to fire on civilians? At least it can be argued that the No Hesitation targets are armed, although the choice of targets is questionable. But zombie training? What are zombies other then unarmed civilians? Basically they are office workers, friends, neighbors, regular folks - but with make-up and walking funny.

Once it is easy to pull the trigger on a zombie (and fun too!) how much of a difference is there when they are real people?

These training options tacked onto the ever increasing use of armed drones is turning low intensity combat (or law enforcement) into what can be literally described as a video game.

No Hesitation indeed....
