Thumbs up Midway: No LEO Mag and Ammo Sales Where Civilian Bans Apply

    http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/201...an-bans-apply/

TTAG reader and Registered Nurse Lance Sauer recently received this email from MidwayUSA:
Currently, there are several parts of the country that have restrictions on civilian ownership of certain magazines or types of ammunition. Sometimes it is entire states and sometimes local municipalities pass these regulations, which I consider unconstitutional. At any rate, when we encounter these situations it has always been our policy not to sell to anyone in these areas, regardless of what law enforcement or government credentials they offer up. If the laws change and all law abiding citizens can buy these products we would be happy to sell to Law Enforcement, but not before then. Thanks for taking the time to be involved. I wish all firearms would follow your lead.

This has the same feeling as in the beginning days of the Harrisburg show. The companies which do NOT follow will stand out now.

    Based on?

Larry Potterfield is about as Pro-2A as they come. Recently on the Outdoor Channel, Midway has been running ads with the words "Shall not be infringed" scrolling across the screen.

The way the email is worded for one. Two, it's from a friends email of a friend's, sister's brothers, mother, cousin type deal.

If Midway is making a statement like this in an email, wouldn't you think they would do a public release statement first and not just to some willy nilly customer?

If it's real, great. Then it should be on Midways News and Announcements, I would think. I don't see it there, but, he seems like a very pro-2A guy.

Honestly, how many LEOs and agencies are buying from Midway USA anyways? Maybe some personal buys, but the agencies probably are not buying from Midway. They have some cop distributor hookup I am sure.
