Re: "Neutral" Ohio State Police Encounter
You have PA plates, yes? And he didn't ask for a LTCF that is good in OH... since our PA LTCF is not honored there. Interesting.
I would say it was a VERY positive encounter just based off that fact... either that or he didn't know a PA LTCF is no good in OH."I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Re: "Neutral" Ohio State Police Encounter
Good Question. My experience with this officer was positive but if you think about it there are only negatives (where your rights are violated) and neutrals (where law enforcement respects your rights).
I'm even trying to come up with some wacky examples to illustrate a positive encounter and I can't.
-Perhaps, if it was cold outside and he let me sit in the cruiser? But that has nothing to do with firearms.
-Offered to clean my gun?
I even thought perhaps if he discovered I had a loaded rifle in my trunk (which I didn't) and said, "what a crazy law, I could arrest you for that but I won't" I'd see that as positive but we get on LEO's all the time when they don't follow the law so that would be kind of hypocritical.
In summary, it was positive for me...I have a renewed sense of appreciation for what this particular trooper in Fayette County Ohio does for us.
