Rep. Meehan (PA-7) and Fitzpatrick (PA-8) Leading Anti-Gunners in Congress!
I am writing them angry faxes right now. Let them know that you are watching and you will not be giving them your vote. Include why you think that increased background checks are completely irrelevant and useless. If they know they'll be out of office because of this nonsense, maybe they'll knock this off!
Why should I have to go under scrutiny for a private sale to another person? Go after the criminals you fools! Republicans no less too! At least we know what side these guys are on next election...
I am also including a bit on how the heck Congress can regulate intrastate trade by legislating private sales between individuals. Yes I know they can regulate bits of intrastate trade that affects interstate trade but the burden of proof is on them that this affects interstate trade. The Commerce Clause exists for a reason!

A coalition of House Republicans is willing to thwart the National Rifle Association’s opposition to broadening background checks for U.S. gun purchases. That may be President Barack Obama’s best chance for advancing tougher gun regulations this year.
Representatives Patrick Meehan and Michael Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania are among Republicans expressing openness to expanding the background-check system, including mandatory screening of buyers at gun shows. “We need to consider any option that will keep people safe,” Fitzpatrick said in an interview. “I’m interested in looking at closing the gun-show loophole,” Meehan said in an interview. “But I’m also going to be watching where this goes, particularly in the Senate and how much real effort will be put” forth, he said.
The loose alliance of Republicans, largely from urban districts in the Northeast and states including Virginia that have been the sites of mass shootings in the past several years, is also focused on regulations involving mental-health reporting of firearms buyers and gun trafficking as first steps in combating gun violence. Expansion of background checks for gun purchasers is gaining bipartisan support in Congress and among the public while restrictions on weapons may confront stiffer opposition in Congress. A Quinnipiac University poll released Feb. 7 found more than 9 in 10 Americans support universal background checks.Last edited by 14thASG_Historian; February 13th, 2013 at 01:15 AM.

I used to live in Delaware county when Curt Weldon was the representative and there were a lot of NRA members down there. I grew up in Delaware County. I think a lot of city democrats have moved there and brought their stupidity and socialism with them. It's not the same there anymore. All my friends have moved to Chester or Lancaster counties to further remove themselves from the democrats and socialism.
If you asked those same people if they were for registering all firearms they would be against it or not understand the question. Quinnipac is another one of those pollsters that use their polls to shape public opinion rather than to gauge it. With any poll you have to see the question and how they took the sampling. Of course they're going to have 9 out 10 agree to any gun control measure if they stand on the streets of Philly and ask or only call into certain districts.

I fear enough republicans might sell us out on gun control and amnesty for illegals. The way they reproduce this will lead to more gun control politicians when these "people" start voting.
Repubs need to hear loud and clear that there will be no votes for turn coats.I offer discounts on freeze dried foods, knives and other prepping products.
