Default Well the Superbowl is over and was pretty good except...

Anyone else throw up in their mouth when the Sandy Hook chorus was there singing? I know what happened to them was a tragedy but the very thought that the nation cannot just let it past and keep on bringing these kids into the lime light just seems grossly insensitive to me and I'm pretty big into crude humor.

I mean seriously. The ONLY reason why they were there is because some kid killed his mother, stole her guns, and then ended up slaughtering other kids at their school.

On a side note. I enjoyed the game despite not being a fan of either team.

I see the NFL as scripted. After 911 the Patriots win. Jerome Bettis retires and there were a lot of flakey games en route to winning a sham of a game over Seattle. It wasn't long after Katrina before hey.. the Saints go and win. Ray Lewis retires? Was there any doubt there would be some key defensive stand or play that would cement his legacy?

We live the Truman Show. It seemed to start with, "This one's for John." Why not? Fans eat that crap up.

Seriously, I have no idea but it's too coincidental for me. I used to play and be a loyal fan until I had the epiphany that it was a huge waste of time.

I'm an Eagles fan. Maybe half of Philly can blow up spontanously so we can win the Super Bowl that year then.

I thought the same. Your making everybody anti that wants to watch a football game thinking about gun control and the children.

Well if you are on the planning committee for that, make sure it's on the NJ side of the city and invite all the Obama supporters who are anti-gunners. I will be a fan.

Overall I agree with your sentiment. In a way I felt bad for the kids because they were being used as media pawns and they didn't even realize it.

When I heard the Sandy Hook choir was going to be performing, I was afraid there would be some pre-recorded message from Gabby Giffords to go with it.

Well the Stadium and football team needs to survive at least. I suppose everything else can get destroyed.

Define "flaky" & "sham". Can't wait to see your proof.

I wonder if they even had a school choir before they were "selected" for the superbowl. Looks and sounds kind of thrown together.
