Anybody been there recently? Was thinking of heading there tomorrow with my wife to teach her to shoot.

You win.
*sigh* All I was saying is that the wind finished it off. Not deliberate. It's a range, it happens. Yes it is full of holes from being shot. Now you're being childish.

I'm not going to engage in a pissing match with you. You belabored the point about the wind. Now you add "finished it off". Fine. I saw the range getting abused first hand and many times first hand since I started shooting there in the mid-late 90's. I seriously doubt they removed the bullet hole filled garbage drums because of the wind. You seem to need to be right about your assertion that this time it was the wind. I was just embellishing you in that need. It was the wind. You sir are the victor. Whatever the spoils are, they're yours.

I know it's a shame. A few of us got together and proposed to the state allowing us to do some rudimentary maintenance on the range, but that was a non starter. I can understand not wanting work taken away from their guys, but I wish they would keep on top of it better. This isn't a rare event at the range.

totally crap. why wouldn't your efforts be encouraged. I know some people don't clean up after themselves but when people offer to clean up after others. come on.
