Default We need to stop HB 335. Call reps.

    http://legiscan.com/PA/text/HB335

This will effectively disarm anyone who has seen a mental health professional on an outpatient basis.

This is any mother who has sought help for postpartum depression or the loss of a child. Any vet who has had help dealing with the effects of war. The widow or widower that sees a therapist to help with their grief. The couple who uses a mental health professional to get marriage counseling. And many many more good people who will be effectively disarmed.
Gun control always works the same. They say we only want to keep guns away from the undesirables then they expand the categories of undesirable.
To think my great great uncle who saw a therapist in his waning years to deal with the nightmares and effects of being a part of the Normandy invasion would be spat on is such a manner makes me incredibly angry.
These politicians are the ones who should be disarmed!

Please make a few phone calls it really does help.
An enemy of liberty is no friend of mine!I do not owe respect to anyone who would enslave me by government force, nor is it wise for such a person to expect it!

If you think you have the right not to be offended. I suggest you promptly purchase a toe attachment and a twelve gauge. One time use is all that is necessary.

VERY important to stop this! It would adversely affect potentially as high as 1/6th of the population.

Hi, New here!! But anyhow!! I contacted reps ASAP on this. And also just called the NRA. I am a paid member. I talked with them about it. She was forwarding right away, for them to see this!!!
I am going to one of my local reps tomorrow, and walking right into their office about this.
What about Police officers, lawyers. Etc...I know first hand some that have had to see a shrink. And get meds for help from stress, anxiety, mild depression. This is back door gun grabbing!!
CALL THE NRA ALSO!! They were glad I did!!
    This is nuts!!

I think you were looking for http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/...io.cfm?id=1181 Being on the Judiciary Committee. That's where this bill is right now, so anyone on the Judiciary Committee should probably be contacted.

I will also do the same.
My local rep, George Dunbar replied quickly. His was response was:

I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of HB 335. This bill is an overreaction and is far too restrictive. I can "assure" you I will stand in opposition to it.

Hmm. The language of this bill is pretty absolute, and doesn't seem to make a distinction between seeing a mental health specialist as a minor or as an adult. Which scares me. What if an individual was in an anger management program as a child? The way I read this, they would be barred just the same as an individual seeking mental health help as an adult. Very troubling.

Wrote my reps today and got one response:

I appreciate your email regarding this HB. I understand the reasons for your concern and agree, therefore I will not be supporting this bill.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and concerns.

    Sincerely,
