OK... I decided to get both...
I am in the process of buying a pistol, and i am in a quandry.. I like the Glock 23 .40, and I have always wanted a .45, and the new(er) Glock 21SF with a slightly shorter frame and slimmer grip, fits my hand perfectly, so after looking at the situation for a while, instead of buying one pistol outright, I am gonna take advantage of the sale prices and the layaway plan, and get BOTH guns.
I can put the same amount down that i would have used to buy one, and make a few payments and pay them off in a month or so..

It is not a bad idea, but I try to keep all my pistols in the same caliber. Unless I am going to a .22. When I buy ammo I can stockpile one is good for all boxes. When I grab a box in a hurry I know it is the right ammo for the right pistol. Just seems to make sense to me. But I like what you are doing.

Thats not a bad idea...why not go with a G30 and a 1911...then you are set...
In hindsight I would have gotten a G30 for this very reason instead of the 23...

The plan is to later on, buy the Glock 30 .45, and the Glock 27 .40, so that i will have the subcompact versions in each caliber..
