The President invokes the Insurrection Act to authorize the use of federal troops, as the Pentagon prepares for war at home….

This is a drill, repeat, this is a drill. Actually, it’s a thought exercise by two authors exploring just how the U.S. military would respond to domestic insurrection.

Some of our standard Training Camps are:

Action Camp: participating groups and individuals typically share a common issue-focus; trainings include intro to nonviolent direct action theory and planning, media/messaging, as well as tactical sessions introducing blockades, climbing, and creative visuals.
Tactics Summit: this camp focuses on hands-on tactics rather than NVDA theory (which participants should already have); participants choose one tactical track to focus on throughout the week (ex: blockades, climbing, or creative visuals).
Training for Trainers (T4T): once individuals have participated in our trainings and gained some action experience, we invite them to a T4T, where they learn popular education training theory and methods, and specifically how to train Ruckus curriculum.

Introduction to Blockades: (3 hours)

Learn the basic principles behind using blockades as a tactic for nonviolent direct action. Practice blockades skills with and without equipment.
Advanced Blockades: (3 hours)

For the group that already has a basic working understanding of blockades. This workshop explores more options for using equipment in your blockades.
Direct Action Climbing:
Introduction to Climbing: (3 hours)

This workshop covers climbing techniques tailored specifically for use during nonviolent direct actions. Participants will get familiar with climbing gear, knots, standard safety practices, the basics of ascending and descending ropes, and develop skills for solving common problems.
Advanced Climbing: (3+ hours)

Participants who have learned the basics of climbing work at their own pace to get deeper into problem solving and learn more on-rope techniques like rappelling, lowering over an edge, rope transfer, or building anchors. Instructors may give demonstrations in banner deployment, climbing-based blockades, or mock-hangings. Learning tree climbing skills can also be an option.

The war gaming against TEA Party Militias was reported about a week after the 2012 elections.

One wonders what we're not being told regarding "preparations"?

Even though the link may be old, this is why we must not allow the president's executive orders to be implemented. One of the directs the attorney general to review who may be prohibited from firearms ownership. I suspect even being labelled a "low-level" terrorist will get you on that list.
