    Default Which CLEO

Does anyone know if the ATF requires your CLEO to be from the same county?

Can I have the DELCO Sheriff sign off if I live in CHESCO?

The DELCO Sheriff is one of my customers and I have a meeting with them on Tuesday, so it would be convenient. I also have multiple Chief's in CHESCO who are customers of mine, but not the Sheriff (yet).

I have a KRISS Vector on order, doing the suppressor too.

    Thoughts?

It is supposed to be one of YOUR chief law enforcement officers.

So, that means you cannot use a sheriff of another county or the chief of police of another municipality.

Negative. It has to be one of your CLEO's.

    That is either:
    1. Your county sheriff
    2. Your Chief of Police
    3. A judge from your jurisdiction that presides over felony cases(not a magistrate).
    4. Your District Attorney
    5. The PA Attorney General
    6. PA State Police Commander
    7. The US Attorney General

Rumor is, the ATF is doing away with the CLEO signoff sometime soon. If you cant get a signature, and/or do not want to form a trust, LLC, Corp., etc - you might want to wait until then.

Awesome thanks. I'll have to go to the Sheriff.

I already own an LLC (two of them actually)...Can I just put it in the business bane or do I still need a trust in top of it?

That is beyond my scope of knowledge.

I'm thinking you can, but I cant say for sure how that works or how to do it. Hopefully GunLawyer001 can weigh-in on that.

You can put it in your LLC. But if that LLC gets sued then the the NFA stuff is a business asset and could be forfeited. If I put it in an LLC I would put it in one that is not doing business and not owning real estate. Maybe just make a new LLC.
