    Default Palmyra Sportsmen's Range Closures?

Does anyone know why the 25 & 50 yard outdoor ranges are closed, and when they will be open again? I have a new rifle I'd like to get sighted in.

I have no idea, I haven't been to the outdoor ranges there since before they overhauled the landscape. (I've heard that access is a lot easier now).
Did you go into the clubhouse to see if they had anything posted on one of the bulletin boards?
I'm thinking about going to the indoor pistol range tonight after work, if I do I'll see if I can find anything out for you.
If you're interested, I can get you hooked up with Jonestown Fish & Game in short order. There are 6 backstops there. 2 @ 25 yards, 2@50 and 2@100.

Address for Yahoo! or other map sites is:
    2222 Kenbrook Road
    Lebanon, Pa. 17046

When were you there? My wife and I were up on the 20th and everything was open.

And mauser, what does it cost to join jonestown? Are they black rifle friendly?

I was there Saturday the 22nd. I emailed the club today and was told that the 25 and 50 yard ranged are closed because people were shooting targets on top of the target backers, therefore potentially launching bullets over the berms to who-knows-where. The ranges should be open this week. They're just closed to allow time to create and hang new signs at the range.

I was there on Friday the 21st and someone asked me why they were closed...I didn't even know they were. I think there was some range damage. The guy who I was talking to, a new member, said there were guys there previously shooting "military style" weapons and shooting very rapidly.

It wouldn't have anything to do with the boards being shredded by shotguns, along with the crosspieces, would it? Gettin' real tired of that.

It'd be nice if people would just follow the rules...this stuff wouldn't happen.

New membership is $10.00/year. This October it will be going up to $15.00/year, $10.00 to renew.

No rules against semi-auto EBRs, no full auto. There is a rapid fire limit of 3 rounds. No magazine size limit. No indoor range. Trap shoot every Wednesday evening starting some time n April.
Heck, I'll just scan my card with the rules for ya, give me a minute........

Sure. I'll be available this weekend, probably at JF&G around mid-day Sunday with my daughter and hopefully her boyfriend. Send me a PM or email to let me know what your schedule looks like, I'll meet you somewhere and get you signed up.
