Re: Advocates Push Idea of Requiring Gun Insurance
So if I have to use my gun for protecting my family or innocents in a situation and I hesitate, can I suit the state / police and the politicians because their not being their to serve and protect instantly.
Can I suit the police if they see I am carrying land shoot me first and ask questions later?
Will the police officer who shot at me have insurance other than state/county/city/town or village picking up the tab

Re: Advocates Push Idea of Requiring Gun Insurance
It reminds me of dropping my motorcycle insurance carrier while still having my motorcycle registered recently. If you have a registered, uninsured vehicle and don't get new insurance you have to turn in your plates and registration or pay a fine.
I can see that going well for something that is a fundamental right <sarcasm>. You don't have your guns insured but they are registered, so the massive bureaucracy that is government will tell you to turn in all uninsured guns and pay a fine for each one. Knowing these jerks, that fine will probably be massive and absolutely ruin people. Of course, that's what they want..

There should be propane tank insurance too!
Knife insurance.
Hammer insurance.
Stairway insurance.
Sidewalk insurance.
The libs want absolute power, make no mistake about that. The USA is now a banana republic. Only without the bananas....or the Republic.

Re: Advocates Push Idea of Requiring Gun Insurance
Since the Feds claim that they can force everyone to buy health insurance, and fine those crazy S.O.B's who choose not to participate in the market, perhaps they would like to force everyone to buy gun insurance also, and fine those nutty people who choose not to have at least 1 firearm.
As you said, there's no limit to what they think they can't get involved in. Next up, condom insurance.

Re: Advocates Push Idea of Requiring Gun Insurance
i can see insurance companies making a killing off this......first you have to insure your firearms.....than they also raise your homeowner rates due to the extra liability of a firearm being in the home......its a double win for them

I will get insurance for my firearms when the whiney anti-'s have to get freedom of speech insurance so I can sue them everytime I am offended.
