Default Additions to be made to NY gun laws for law enforcement

Yes, this is very troubling indeed... I am so troubled by this. So very troubled.

A troubling oversight has been found within New York State's sweeping new gun laws. The ban on having high-capacity magazines, as it's written, would also include law enforcement officers. Magazines with more than seven rounds will be illegal under the new law when that part takes effect in March. As the statute is currently written, it does not exempt law enforcement officers.

You didn't think they'd change it to exempt LEOs?
As long as they make it home safe, any provision to ensure they can outgun the citizenry will become law. That's what it's all about, officer safety. So now the 8 round mags I have for my full size 1911s would be illegal, to ensure officer safety.

Yes, I am certain they will change the law to exempt LEOs. But it never ceases to amaze me how little thought and effort is put into making these kind of laws...

    Nice graphic BTW

I am still trying to figure that one out.... My first thought was, should you give criminals an equal amount of ammunition, just to make it a fair fight? My second thought was that this quote is probably from one of the idiots who wrote the law, so I wouldn't expect anything he says to make sense.

yea i can see the new 7 round limit making a big difference in the criminal community ......lets see.......if their already committing a crime with a gun why should they give a shit if they break one more law by having more then 7 rounds anyway.....just another way ta bend over perfectly legal citizens
