Why the Glock 26 is My Favorite EDC

Here's a video I made explaining why the G26 is my favorite EDC, with some shooting demonstrations. Love shooting Speer Gold Dots +P through it, kind of pricey though, but I try to practice with my EDC ammo at least once a month.

Doesn't Glock suggest not using +P ammo in the 26?

+P is no problem for any/all Glocks. Even +p+ (whatever that is). If all you shoot through it is +P you will want to replace the recoil spring more often.

But, who would do that?

I carry +P as my EDC SD ammo, and practice with whatever cheap junk I can find.

It's a Glock, you just load it up and shoot it.

You should probably clean it once a year or so.

just bought my first one... personally know 1 man who has fired just over 5,000 rnds through his without a mechanical failure. Also forgot to mention that he has yet to clean this gun. Told me outright he is going to keep an accurate round count and keep on firing this weapon until he gets his first ftf, then he's going to clean it. He is a collector and has several glocks of which he has put through some rather rigorous testing. It was enough for me to add 1 to my collection.

any of you G26'ers think about using a G19? Minus the shorter length, its almost the same dimensions when you add that pinky extension.

I was thinking the same. Yes I open carry but many times I'll conceal for a specific reason and have no problems. No printing or perceptible bulging with a button down or larger tee.

I have thought about the G26 but seriously love the size and balance of the 19. I've posted many times I wish the 45acp was the same as the 19. I've decided to just get a G38 and hope they become more popular.

Thanks for posting this thread though, it has fed my Glock addiction and now want one for those rare occasions, times when I might wear sweats or pj bottoms I could use a Remora and just because.

I used to turn my nose up at Glocks :-)
