What weapons were used?
On Friday, December 14th, while the children were still lying at the crime scene at Sandy Hook, Bloomberg jumped up and had a press conference to promote banning assault weapons? Huh? What does that have to do with a mass murder and how would he know that fast?
Then Bushmaster assault rifle was brought up a million times and that Obama should ban assault weapons.
On December 26th, Pete Williams, on the NBC Today Show, said there was a new report from local and state officials that there were FOUR handguns, not two handguns, BUT THERE WERE NO ASSAULT WEAPONS.

Has anyone here seen ANY report that mentions what guns were used?
I don't know what firearms were used but I was very disturbed a couple of weeks ago to see that story of no "assault weapons". I would have very strong suspicions that the FEDs are squashing that story while they rush to "Ban All things assault ....."
Anyone know?

Re: What weapons were used?
Everything went hush hush after stories started conflicting, then the judge ordered that the police report be held for an additional 90 days... writing is on the wall...

Re: What weapons were used?
One of the first statements I heard was from a cop, one of the first on the scene, who stated that he used a Glock & a Sig & that they found a Bushmaster in the back seat of the shooter's vehicle which made him wonder what he had planned to do next. News media buried that story real fast though

Re: What weapons were used?
Even if he used a BB gun the news would've probably reported it as an "assault" rifle. I'm so sick of all this I could scream. Media lies, pres. lies, politicians lie, all to push their anti-gun agenda

I remember that initial reports were that indeed he had used handguns and that an AR was in the car, then the story changed.

where are all the eye witnesses? you'd think staff or students could tell the difference between a pistol & a long gun

Re: What weapons were used?
The Medical Examiner in a public statement made on Dec 15 said all the victims had been shot with a "long rifle". That was the same date as the MSNBC report citing an unnamed source saying only pistols were found with Lanza's body.
That report and the ME statement are both on youtube.
