    Default Oil filter suppressor?

Any one ever see this? About half way down

    http://www.americanspecialtyammo.com/Class_III.html

Not the most practice but for $75 plus stamp why not.

I haven't seen one in person, but I have checked out those suppressors before online. They seem like a neat idea, and I like how the whole filter isn't the registered piece. It is just the adapter.

I agree they are a pretty inexpensive option for suppression and pretty appealing.

Great if you can shoot without sights.

There's a video on YT by Cadiz gun works showing how well they work. Even against a real suppressor.

Its definitely a novelty. Certainly a fairly cheap way to get into suppression. But... Idk.

I saw them on youtube a few years ago:

They only thing I can think of aside from no sights is a pistol would be pretty front heavy.

Seen them at local gun shows.
Asking questions the seller claims they are sold as as a device used to collect debris from cleaning (breach to crown).

"not meant to be used to attach a suppressor. If you shoot while attached and the device is not serialized and processed as a class 3 item you are in violation of the NFA"

    Re the sight issue.
Depends on the weapon. Some will be fine with a oil filter hanging in front.

It's a nice item if we were over ran by zombies who were attracted to noise. Oil filters are readily avail anywhere lol

+1 on that . I've seen them before, would be a neat toy though. I'd much rather get a proper supressor

You guys pretty much shared my views. Not a replacement for the real deal but pretty interesting. It be nice to have one "just in case" if you feel me.

Me: I would like to return this oil filter...

Counter person: What seems to be the problem with it?

Me: It has a hole in the bottom, and it is too noisy.......on my gun!!! haha
