Temple University hospital gun policy

Does anyone know if guns are allowed in the hospital. My wife is getting surgery monday morning and we need to be there by 5 am. I am thinking to carry down there as it is not a very safe area, but I'll be in the hospital for several hours and don't want to be arrested in case my gun should somehow became visible.

Even if they have a no gun policy, you can carry concealed. If caught, the worst you could be arrested for would be Trespassing....and even then that would only be if you came back after they asked you to leave.

IMO, in that area that is a good risk to take. North Philly around Temple is Beirut West.

I've carried there no problem. There was no metal detectors or guards wanding

I always carry when I'm in that area. I'd advise not to be cheap and park in a lot. While there is readily available street parking, your car has a very high likelihood of getting broken in to if you choose to go that route.

As far as guns in the hospital you should be ok. In fact I have a friend there who is a physician (radiologist) and she's showed me her folder of interesting images. A lot of them are bullets lodged in people's heads/spines but there are some of people who are carrying all sorts of guns and knives.
