Even if it’s true (and I wouldn’t doubt it), can you name a media outlet that would run with it? It would be swept under the rug with the rest of his sleaze. He’s going to need a bigger rug soon.

Pretty powerful accusation.....needs real proof, a little too much speculation.

As far a "bringing down" anything in this government, be it Rep or Dem is impossible. The corruption and scandals are rampant, and aside for a very small percentage of the population who actually care and are disgusted with it, no one will do anything or even care.

The problem is that he has pissed off the only peoples in the US that are willing to stand up and say something and not just say something, but DO SOMETHING.

Obama has awoken MANY true American patriots. He should be far from confident. Realize however that he tasked everyone but him to deal with these things so he has an out when the SHTF it the big white house....

I had heard speculation about the kidnapping angle from the very beginning. Supposedly Stevens was there to meet with a rep from one of the terrorist groups that recieved weapons and assistance from the US. He was to negotiate the return of the weapons which was part of the original deal. Another faction of the terrorist group wasn't happy that they weren't included in the negotiation and thought kidnapping the ambassador was a better solution.

Reports indicate it was much better planned than this group typically is able. Security elements from nearby were unable to get to the location because of well coordinated roadblocks, and armed groups were delaying other security elements from accessing the scene.

It appears to me that someone on the ground thought this whole thing was fishy from the start. There was much more security, which was scattered around the area, than is normally planned for this type of mission. Scattering the security in pockets this way looks like it was done to lend to the appearance of the original reports of a demonstration gone bad. It could be that security wasn't "gutted", which seems to be the smoke and mirrors distraction, but rather was spread out intentionally to enable the kidnapping to take place.
