    5) A serviceable pistol in at least 9mm is optional, but recommended. Pistols must be worn in a kydex or duty type holster, either belt worn or drop leg. Chest rig mounted holsters are not permitted. 100 pistol rounds and a minimum of two pistol magazines are required for those students using a pistol.

    6) Shooting gloves are very strongly recommended. Baseball batting gloves also work very well.

    6) A quality hand held flashlight.

    6) Tinted and clear eye protection.

    6) Knee pads are recommended.

    7) Hearing protection.

    8) Clothing appropriate for weather conditions. BDU / 5.11 type pants with side leg pockets are recommended.

Obviously there is some absolute stupidity going on right now with all the panic buying, and .223 and 5.56 ammo is getting harder to obtain every day.

If anyone has a .22 conversion kit for their AR, or if anyone has a AR platform carbine in .22 such as the M&P 15/22, please feel free to use that weapon during the class.

Due to the current situation in the firearms industry, I'm going to modify the ammunition requirements for this course.

Ammo requirements for this course will be 200 rounds of carbine ammo, and 50 rounds of pistol ammo. Of course, if you wish to bring more of either, feel free to do so.

Something I believe in very strongly is that a high round count does not necessarily equal a good training experience. It's difficult to maintain proper mental focus on each shot when firing, for example, 1,500 rounds over 3 days.

Many high round count courses turn into what we call "ballistic masturbation", and results is a lowered training (ie. learning) experience.

There are many, many things that all shooters can do to improve their fundamentals that require no live ammunition, and can be practiced at home - for free. As with all 3T classes, we will discuss this in detail during the course.

    Folks,

This class is about 50 / 50 as far as shooting paper and steel.

When shooting steel, M855 green tip rounds are not allowed.

If your ammo supply consists of only green tip, we'll work out a trade for FMJ rounds when it comes to shooting steel.

4 spots left in this class.
