Default KYW claiming automatic weapons fire in Philadelphia

    http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/201...-sleeping-man/

It doesn't say it in the online version, but the radio broadcast says that it was automatic weapon's fire from an AK-47.

Police have collected numerous bullet shells, which they say indicate the bullets came from an AK-47 rifle.
    Is this even possible?

How do we know if it was a Ak47 just because police found 7.62x39 steel or brass shells. SKS use the same type of bullet?

TV news (forget the channel) said it was an AR15 assault weapon because of the brass. My wife hates it when I yell at the TV.

Sure it is, the shells look a lot more tired from coming out so fast.

Wink Re: KYW claiming automatic weapons fire in Philadelphia

Those reporters must have supernatural abilities to know for sure that the gun used was an AR. I can think of a few guns pretty quick that shoot 556/223 - AR, Ruger Mini 14, HK, FNC. I wish I had their expert knowledge and superior insight to know for a fact which type of rifle was used. Also, " the 223/556 rounds are only meant for the military and police". What is that dipshit talking about? 223 is my groundhog ammo. Those talking heads must really think the people in Philly are stupid! I would love to put a mixed box of ammo (222, 223, 22-250, 25-06, 243, 270, 30-06) in front of these retards and see if they could pick out the 223 round.

I did this today with my parents (who feel the second amendment only covers hunting rifles), both thought the .300 Win Mag. belonged to the AR15. boy were they surprised when I corrected them, and confused when they found out the news was lying about the UNCONTROLLABLE POWER of these "assault weapons".

What makes it full auto...the fact that after the trigger is pulled you arnt required to measure out powder and shovel a bullet down the barrel before you pull the trigger again?

But then again arguing with dip shits is as pointless as watching paint dry or counting the rocks in the drive way.
